Cloud Watch — Tuesday, October 4 2022

The clouds come in from over the desert mountain range, slow and low at first. They build up and grow thicker as they roll in, eventually obscuring the sun and turning the sky a deep, hazy blue. The mountains are still visible through the clouds, their jagged peaks poking up like islands in a sea of mist.

As the day goes on, the clouds grow even thicker and lower, until they’re practically hugging the mountains. The light takes on a strange, ethereal quality, and the world feels like it’s been wrapped in a soft, cottony blanket.

Eventually, the clouds start to dissipate and the sun starts to peek through again. The skies clear and the mountains are once again visible in all their glory.

It’s a sight that never fails to take your breath away.
